St Patrick’s Day “Aren’t we Lucky to be Bears”

  • Collecting "Pot of Gold" for each class: Supply Drive (such as wipes, kleenex, spray, sanitizer, markers, pens, etc) Have the rooms coordinate themselves- each room coordinate the collection of items and have all "pots" delivered before Spring Break. Items can be collected however the room parent(s) want through March 1- March 13th DELIVERED (before Spring Break)
  • Home Connection: Decorate a 4 leaf clover and decorate it. Students decorate their four leaf clover and bring it back to school by March 8. There will be bins at the front and back doors to collect them.
  • Volunteers decorate the front bulletin board similar to what was done for Valentine’s Day- decoration to happen sometime the week of March 8. Need two volunteers to decorate. These volunteers can coordinate time to make bulletin board and what is needed in addition to the clovers. Please sign up on the PTA website.

We know that school is going to look different for the 2020-2021 school year, but we want to be ready to volunteer as soon as we can. We have no doubt our fearless school leaders will lead our efforts to adapt to this new world, and that could present all kinds of exciting ways to support our kiddos.

Volunteers of the Month:

LOOKING FOR WAYS TO SUPPORT BBE PTA?

RAISE FUNDS WHILE YOU SHOP!

Amazon Smile: choose Bear Branch Elementary PTA as your donor choice. AMAZON has a program where you can pick a charity and they give a portion of your purchases to that charity. Bear Branch is on the list and over the past 3 years Amazon has already supported us with gifts totaling 1,464.60! Below are the steps to start your AmazonSmile account.

*Go to smile.amazon.com, sign in with your Amazon account credentials.

*Search and choose Bear Branch Elementary PTA, Kingwood, Tx.

*Bookmark the Amazon Smile webpage and when you purchase through Amazon always use this browser so that BBE will get the $$$.

If you have the Amazon app… first make sure you have the most updated app.

In your Amazon app – click the 3 bars at the bottom right hand corner.

Go to Settings, towards the bottom of the list.

Click on AmazonSmile.

Turn on your AmazonSmile settings, and you are good to go.

I THINK that once you do this, when you shop through the app, the AmazonSmile donations will be received automatically. Meaning you don’t have to do anything special each time you open your app to shop, unlike if you are using your computer you have to make sure and use the AmazonSmile browser in order for your purchases to count. Please let me know if you have questions. Thank you!
